A Successful Relationship Needs to Have These 7 Feelings
When you’re with the right person, you’ll know exactly what these 7 feelings are. If you’re not here’s what you’re missing out on.
1. Excitement
The most fulfilling relationships will always inspire passion in both people, regardless of what else is going on in their lives. Whenever your partner walks through the door, you should feel excited to see them, to kiss them, to hold them in your arms. A successful relationship has a passion all the time. Sure it may cool down from time to time, but it never dies completely.
2. Comfort
When you’re in a relationship with the right person, you feel like you can get comfortable and be yourself around them. Without this comfort, there isn’t going to be trust there. How can you trust someone if you feel like you have to be on your guard all the time around, or if you can’t share your inner thoughts with them? As the relationship grows, so should your comfort level. Ideally, you should be able to talk about anything without fear.
3. Consistency
The last thing on your mind in a successful relationship is wondering where your relationship stands. This is because you both know how to work together to solve any problems that may occur. You love each other too much to let the relationship end over something that isn’t serious.
4. Safety
This goes hand in hand with comfort and trust. When you are with your partner, you should always feel safe and you should never fear them. It’s fine to be concerned if they are mad at you or are upset over something, but you should never worry that things could get violent. If you’re afraid your partner will strike you, then you are definitely not in a good relationship.
5. Hope for the future
You and your partner should have a vision for the future together. This could be anything from moving in together, getting married or having children. It is important that you both are on the same page with what you want for your future, otherwise, there is no point in being together.
6. Willpower
When you’re with the right person, they should lift you up instead of holding you down. Ask yourself if when you’re with your partner, do you feel like you can do anything? Hopefully, you answered yes because they are supposed to be the encouragement you need to overcome any obstacle. And, if you cannot do it on your own, they should be there to support you and help you achieve your goals. You should also be willing to do the same for them, as well.
7. Gratitude
A big component of having a successful relationship is having gratitude toward your partner. Both partners wake up every morning and feel blessed to have their significant other in their lives. When you’re in a relationship, it is so easy to take your partner for granted and many times we don’t show our significant other how appreciative we are for them being in our lives. Ideally, you should take time out of your day to spend special time with your partner, whether you have a cup of coffee with one another and talk about your day, you do errands together, or it can be as simple as telling each other that you love them.
