Top 10 Reasons You Need to Date an Older Man
Ladies, it’s hard not to find that older guy with the salt and pepper hair attractive. He has this aura about him that screams sex appeal and is an instant chick magnet. But… Why? Is it because he probably has a kick-ass job, which means he is financially stable? Is it because he has life experience and has already been through those “partying” days? Whatever it is, there is definitely an attraction that women cannot pass up.
If you are looking to date an older man yourself, here are ten reasons why you should!
Number 10 – Chivalrous
Older men (we will say older than 30) tend to be more chivalrous then the younger generation. These men adhere to the old school practices when it comes to dating. This means that they will bring you flowers when they pick you up, open the door, and hold your jacket; you know, those sort of things that the younger generation tend not to do. Although you may not realize this, but men who do these sort of things tend to respect you much more.
Number 9 – Financially Stable
While money shouldn’t be the only reason why you date someone, it does help. Let’s face it, you don’t want to go out with a guy and always get stuck footing the bill. While some men think that women want a guy just for their money, the truth is they just want a man who can support himself and “forget” their wallet when it comes time to pitch in for the meal.
Number 8 – Experience
When it comes to dating an older man, you know that you are getting someone who knows what does (and doesn’t) work with women. Well, that is if he isn’t like the 40-year old virgin. Keep in mind that when you are talking to an older man, he has already made those mistakes that younger guys tend to make. They also have been through relationships that haven’t always worked out and they know what heartache is. It is because of these things that he knows what he wants and what he expects out of the relationship.
Number 7 – Making the Most of Your Time Together
Gone are the days of men who would rather spend their time with you on their phones or engaging in nonsense. When you are dating an older guy, you can be sure that he wants to spend as much time with you as possible. Because he is older, he has had plenty of nights alone watching movies, and now that he has you, a young and vivacious woman, he will want to get out there and enjoy your company.
Number 6 – Good Friends
As a we get older, the quality of our friends tend to get better. Men, especially, tend to grow out of that childish phase and they are much easier to hang out with. When you are dating an older man, you usually don’t have to worry if their friends are dragging them to a sleazy strip club or if they are bar hopping all night and hitting on chicks. Usually, you can find peace in knowing that their outings will be pretty mild, compared to what they used to be.
Number 5 – No More Roomies
While we are younger, it is understandable to have roommates. The cost of living alone is far too expensive for someone who is fresh out of college. But when you are dating someone older, chances are that he already has an established career and is already living on his own, paving his own way. You know what that means right? You can lay on the couch and watch a sappy romance movie without him having to worry if his roomies will walk in right when he is tearing up.
Number 4 – Knows How to Lay it Down
More often than not, when you mess with a younger man in the bedroom, he probably isn’t entirely certain of how to please a woman. With the older guy, you can be assured that he is much more experienced and he knows a few tricks that may even be new to you!
Number 3 – They Are Patient
You know how some people say that when you get older, you have more patience? Well, this is certainly true when you are dealing with an older man. These fellas know that good things come to those who wait, so you never have to worry about being pressured into anything that you aren’t ready for (read: sex).
Number 2 – More Exciting Date Nights
When you are young, your funds are limited and you aren’t entirely sure what fun is. Someone in their twenties may be content with the bar scene and amusement parks, but when you are older (or dating someone older), your idea of fun may change. You may want to go to museums, musicals at the theater, romantic dinner cruises, and things of that nature. And by dating an older man, it is much more likely that you will be going on a date that requires more than $50 and a bag of popcorn.
Number 1 – They are More Self Aware and Secure
Younger men are still trying to find themselves. They are trying to figure out where they fit into the grand scheme of things. Are they the alpha male? Do people walk all over them? Are they going to be a chick magnet or some bozo people ignore? When you are dating an older man, they pretty much have a handle on their lives and they are okay with whatever station they hold. And, if they aren’t, they are making the necessary steps to move into the position they want— be it professionally, spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
