The modern gentleman should be open-minded and recognize that it takes all types of people to make this world go around. Along with a wide variety of people in the world, there are a lot of different lifestyles too. A modern gentleman is always prepared for guests and that means by having a nice bottle of liquor to offer a visitor or to celebrate an occasion worthy of a glass of the nice stuff. Plus, a true gentleman always knows exactly when to celebrate with the good stuff.

He Will Respect All Women

We don’t mean that he will pander to women and tell them what he believes they want to hear, but he will genuinely respect them and do whatever he can to make them feel like they are his equal. This can be done any number of ways, but the point should be that he is actively trying.

He Loves His Mother

Any man who speaks poorly of his mother is one that you should be wary of. A true sign of how he will treat you is how he treats his mother. If he is kind to her and dotes on her, you can be sure he will do whatever he can to show you he loves you as well.

He Considers Himself a Feminist

Although he may not march with the women or actively fight for women’s rights, he is well aware of gender issues and tries to understand some of the difficulties a woman deals with on a day to basis.
